Privacy Policy

DNATruth™ takes every measure to ensure your privacy and the confidentiality of the services we provide—online and in all other communication methods that we use. This page outlines our site's privacy policy. These are based on the following fundamental principles:

  • We do not ask you for personal information unless we truly need it to complete an order transaction or your DNA analysis.
  • We do not share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We do not store personal information on our servers unless required for the ongoing operation of one of our services. In the latter case, we utilize industry-leading standards for data protection to ensure that your personal information stays private.
  • When you provide us your DNA sample, you are also providing us with a vitally important information source, and we treat this with the high level of respect that it demands.

Information you provide

Any personal information we request, such as your email address, is only used for the purpose of responding to your request and/or processing your DNA test. Customer information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without the consent of the customer, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by the customer.

When you order a DNATruth™ test, we may request simple biographical information (such as a birthdate) for account creation in order to assist us in verifying your identity and protecting your privacy in future communications. You will also provide us with information needed to complete any online transaction, such as a credit card number or PayPal account information. For your safety and protection, your credit card information is not stored on our servers. Our payment gateway provider, Chase Paymentech, keeps this information encrypted and secure on your behalf.

How we protect your information

Any information you transmit using our website—via our information request forms, Contact Us forms, and order forms—is encrypted and sent securely through the Internet. Credit card/other payment information is only used at the time you place an order and is not stored in our databases.

DNATruth™ staff members are specially trained to keep our clients' information confidential. Whenever anyone emails for test information, we first verify that person's identity through our secured Login Servers.

Relevant customer information required for customer service or completing the DNA test is stored in our secure databases. If you purchased a DNA test, your DNA signature information is likewise protected in a secure database, and is only accessible by you.

If you order a DNA test, the DNA sample that you send us is well protected. Our laboratory employs strict entry policies for all employees and visitors, and your DNA sample will be stored in a secure, restricted-access storage area. Your DNA sample will be destroyed according to laboratory protocols when the test is complete.
